Pop princess Kylie Minogue has been photographed on holiday with a married film director. The pint-sized star, who was recently given the all-clear following treatment for breast cancer, is seen posing with Alexander Dahm after he greeted her at a south American airport, according to reports. Onlookers told the Sunday Mirror newspaper that Kylie, who recently split from actor Olivier Martinez, was all smiles during the brief scene after she flew in to Chile from Argentine capital Buenos Aires last Wednesday morning. Shortly afterwards, the married dad-of-one whisked her away for a sunshine break in his native country in a hired black convertible car, the newspaper claims. It goes on to report how Kylie struck up a friendship with Dahm in January when they met on a film set in Acapulco, Mexico. His wife Laura, heavily pregnant with their second child, dismissed speculation of an affair, telling the Sunday Mirror that her husband has assured her it was a 'coincidence' that Kylie was in Chile at the same time as him. She told the newspaper: "Alexander and Kylie have struck up a friendship. But it's ridiculous to think there is some sort of affair going on. There isn't, they're only friends and I'm not worried."
In amazing theater news, Anthony Rapp (Mark) has announced on his My Space blog that he is reprising is role in the smash Broadway hit Rent this summer ... along side his Rent co-star Adam Pascal (Roger)!

I've always said it would take some extraordinary circumstances to bring me back to the show, (because many people over the years have asked me if I would go back), and I consider the opportunity to be on stage with Adam again to be a big time extraordinary circumstance. In all my years of being in this business, (and we're talking over 25 years now), I've rarely felt the kind of connection on stage that I do with Adam. We just click, and I think it will be amazing to get to work with him in that environment again. The dates we'll be back are July 30th until September 9th. So book your tickets...

Paris Hilton is not going down without a fight. The day after she was sentenced to 45 days in the slammer for violating her probation by driving with a suspended license, Hilton walked outside her house and told a gaggle of camerapeople, "I told the truth yesterday. I feel that I was treated unfairly." Hilton called the sentence "both cruel and unwarranted" and added "I don't deserve this."

RCA SUPPORTS KELLY: Despite rumor-mongering from the U.K. Daily Star and other online sources, there is no dispute between Kelly Clarkson and the RCA Music Group. These rumors began after the SBMG International meetings in Las Vegas a couple of weeks back and were based on an inaccurate report about Clive Davis' presentation of Kelly's new LP at the confab. Sources who were there insist the chatter is not true. In fact, Davis specifically stated that Kelly is “one of the top four artists at Sony BMG” and wanted to ensure that she is treated as such. There are absolutely no plans to scrap the LP. Meanwhile, Richard Palmese's promo team is working round the clock to deliver Kelly's first single, “Never Again,” to trigger the release of what all are convinced is a chart-topping album, set to hit stores July 24th
Paris Ordered to Serve 45 Days in Jail
A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge has sentenced Paris Hilton to 45 days in L.A. County jail for violating her probation in a reckless driving case. Judge Michael T. Sauer handed down the harsh sentence, telling Paris she will not be allowed work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail. She must do the time!
An emotional Paris, with tears welling up in her eyes, told the judge moments before the decision "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Witnesses inside the courtroom say that Paris' parent, Rick and Kathy Hilton, were both visibly upset as the sentence was handed down. Kathy, we're told, was especially distraught.
Paris will serve her sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF). She will begin her sentence on June 5.

WHO: Every faggot in West Hollywood, sporting their Golden Girls T-shirts and shouting out Blanche-isms. Also there: Lenora Claire. And several totally fab Rue look-a-likes (of the real and non-real variety).
THE READING: Rue arrived to a thunderous ovation. She toddled through the crowd, waving and cackling and poking at fans, and being altogether as Blanche-like as you could hope for. She read in a hoarse little whisper that no one could hear, but that was fine. Nobody cared about the damn book anyway, as long as they got their T-shirts signed.
THE AWKWARD MOMENT: When Lenora Claire busted out her nude Bea Arthur oil-painting, and asked if Rue would mind posing with it. There was much back-and-forth between Rue and her publicist and various handlers, while Lenora happily posed with the painting and generally shifted focus away from Rue. Finally it was surreally announced that “Blanche would probably pose with it, but Rue will not.” And did not.
THE VERDICT: Definitely gayer than the Joan Collins book-signing.

A hearing has been set before a Superior Court judge today that could lead to Paris Hilton a) serving 45 days in Los Angeles County Jail, b) ordered not to drink alcohol for 90 days, and c) having to wear a secure continuous remote alcohol monitoring device aka SCRAM that monitors said alcohol consumption. All because li'l ol' her knowingly and willfully violated her probation in a DUI conviction by driving under the influence and with a suspended license. Twice. Hilton's publicist, the clueless Elliot Mintz, has said that the heiress wasn't aware that her license had been suspended. Prosecutors say there is ''more than sufficient evidence that Hilton had knowledge of the suspension of her driving privilege when she was stopped February 27 while driving'' at night in her Bentley with the headlights off. On January 22, Hilton pleaded no contest through her attorneys to the misdemeanor reckless driving charge stemming from her arrest last September 7 in Hollywood. She was ordered to serve three years probation, fined $390 and ordered to complete an alcohol education program. The prosecutors allege in their 15-page motion that Hilton was stopped by the California Highway Patrol on January 15 -- one week before her no contest plea -- and that the officers advised her ''both verbally and in writing, that her driving privilege was suspended, and then required her passenger to drive because of her suspension.''
SACHA Baron Cohen is set to play Queen singer Freddie Mercury in a big budget movie about his life. The Borat star, 35, elbowed Johnny Depp from the role after winning over producers and band members. An insider said: "Film makers are working flat out to get the best possible script. Sacha loves the idea he can get away with playing Freddie after modelling Borat's look on him." Mercury died of an Aids-related illness in 1991 at 45. The biopic will portray his legendary partying.
Bette Midler takes up residency in Vegas
Bette Midler (tickets music) is packing her bags and moving to Sin City. Starting in February 2008, the Divine Miss M. will replace Celine Dion (tickets music) as the resident performer at Las Vegas' Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
"Get ready Vegas 'cause here I come!" Midler said in a statement. "Caesars Palace will never be the same and to all those critics who have accused me of being 'tacky,' 'too much' and 'over the top,' I say, you ain't seen nuthin' yet!"
Midler has signed on to perform approximately 100 concerts a year at the 4,100-seat Colosseum as part of a minimum two-year deal. Her show, which is scheduled to premiere Feb. 20, 2008, will be presented five nights a week. Tickets are already on sale for the first couple of weeks, with prices ranging from $95 to $250.
The 90-minute show will be "the biggest, most imaginative production Bette Midler has ever done," according to the singer/movie star's website. It will come with "plenty of girls, gags and guffaws, [Midler's] incomparable humor, the best song catalog in American music and her fabulous 'Kiss My Brass' section."
The $95 million Colosseum at Caesars Palace was built in 2003 for Dion's "A New Day" spectacular. The singer has virtually sold out 160 shows per year at the Vegas venue over what will be a nearly five-year run, according to the Associated Press news service.
With Midler's 100 shows and Elton John (tickets music) continuing to put in 50 performances a year at the Colosseum, there will be room for a third performer, according to John Meglen, president of promotions firm Concerts West.
"We will probably have one additional artist, which we'll announce later," Meglen told the AP. He reportedly would not comment on speculation that Cher would be the third performer.
Meglen said the Colosseum will go dark between Dion's grand finale Dec. 15 and Midler's first show.
