Jackass star Johnny Knoxville filed for divorce Tuesday from his wife of 12 years, court papers show. Knoxville, 36, whose real name is listed as Philip John Clapp, cited irreconcilable differences in his split from Melanie Lynn Clapp, according to the Los Angeles Superior Court filing. Knoxville is seeking joint legal and physical custody for their 11-year-old daughter Madison, whose name is tattooed across Knoxville's chest. He has offered to pay an unspecified amount of spousal support. According to the papers, the pair were married on May 15, 1995, and separated on July 17, 2006. After filming 2005's The Dukes of Hazzard, Knoxville and costar Jessica Simpson, then married to Nick Lachey, both shot down rumors that they'd had a fling. "Usually you just laugh and go on. (But) if it's something like they've done to Jessica and I, it's not as funny because I have a wife and kid," he told a reporter in August 2005. "Luckily, my wife is understanding. It's show business."
