It's probably Hollywood's worst-kept secret but stick-thin starlet Nicole Richie is finally admitting she's with child.
"I'm almost four months" pregnant, Paris Hilton's convict pal told ABC's "Good Morning America" in an interview that will air today.
Baby daddy Joel Madden, the spiky-haired lead singer for the rock band Good Charlotte, holds her hand as she comes clean to "GMA's" Diane Sawyer.
The hard-partying daughter of singer Lionel Richie made headlines recently after she followed in Hilton's stilettos and was ordered to serve time in jail for a DUI conviction.
Richie, 25, admitted she had smoked pot and popped Vicodin when she was found driving the wrong way down a Burbank, Calif., highway last December. She must serve four days in jail between now and Sept. 28, even with a bun in the oven.
Richie tells Sawyer she's sorry for her wild-child ways.
"I have a responsibility and it's something that I did wrong, and if I could personally apologize to every single person that has lost a loved one from drunk driving, I would," she said.
"Unfortunately I can't, but this is my way of paying my dues and taking responsibility and being an adult."
The celebutard was still living it up though weeks into her pregnancy.
In late May, Richie sent out an invite to her raucous Memorial Day bash urging her guests to "celebrate our country by drinking massive amounts of beer."
The young socialite won't have too hard a time behind bars, either. Richie will fund her own stay in a paid city jail - a legal, and more comfortable option than serving in a county lockup.
After her short big-house stint, the little lady better stay on her best behavior: She'll be on three years' probation.
