UK's The Mirror is reporting that slop star Britney Spears has applied for a job - as a barmaid. The troubled singer, who lost custody of her sons last week over her drink and drug problems, told bar staff she fancied the night shift. Managers at the five-star Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, California, are considering her application. A source said: "Even entertaining the idea of working in a bar is crazy. A judge would be forgiven for thinking she'd totally lost the plot." Britney, 25, is battling to prove she can be a fit mother after a court placed Sean Preston and Jayden James with her ex Kevin Federline. Mum Lynne and sister Jamie-Lynn, 16, flew to her Beverly Hills home to persuade her to enter rehab and end a family rift. But at the weekend she wrongly claimed her house had been broken into in a state of "extreme paranoia".
